Interesting Company News Today TotalEnergies and Eni: Final Investment Decision for the Development of the Cronos Gas Field in Cyprus(LSE:TTE) (NYSE:TTE) TotalEnergies and Eni, each holding 50%, have taken the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the development of the Cronos gas field in Cyprus offshore Block 6, discovered in 2022 and appraised in 2024. The Cronos field is located approximately 185 kilometers southwest of the coast of Cyprus and will be developed through four subsea wells. Gas from Cronos will be transported by subsea pipeline from Cypriot waters to Egypt, where it will be liquefied at the Damietta LNG terminal before export to Europe. Production start-up is expected in 2028, with a plateau of around 500 million cubic feet per day (Mcf/d), equivalent to around 2.8 million tons of LNG per year (Mtpa), with 50% marketed by TotalEnergies. The main commercial and contractual agreements required for the project were signed following the signature, in February 2025, of a Host Government Agreement. TotalEnergies is also present in Cyprus in offshore Blocks 11 (50%, operator), 7 (50%, operator), and 8 (40%). TotalEnergies is the world’s third largest LNG player with a global portfolio of 44 million tonnes in 2025 and access to more than 20 Mtpa of regasification capacity in Europe. Talos Energy Announces Strategic Offshore Mexico Development Farm-In(NYSE: TALO) Talos Energy Inc. announced the execution of a definitive agreement to farm into the Block 29 development offshore Mexico, operated by Repsol, S.A., acquiring a 50% working interest for a contingent $30 million payment at final investment decision ("FID"), a cash carry of up to $20 million on the next exploration well, and reimbursement of certain pre-closing costs. The acquired assets include a 50% working interest in Block 29, located in the Salinas-Sureste Basin in the southern Gulf of Mexico, an area that has seen more than a dozen deepwater discoveries. Block 29 contains the Polok and Chinwol oil discoveries, which together are estimated to contain more than 200 million barrels of oil equivalent ("MMBoe") of gross recoverable resource. Upon closing, Talos will hold a 50% working interest and, together with Repsol, will be the sole participants in the block. The transaction is subject to approval by Mexico's Secretaría de Energía ("SENER") and the National Anti-trust Commission of Mexico. The partners expect to progress the project toward FID in 2027. The company projects that these transactions are expected to extend resource life and further support long-term value creation as they continue to advance their strategy to build a long-lived, scaled portfolio and become the leading pure-play offshore E&P. DiagnaMed Holdings Corp. Announces Proposed Name Change to GeoHydrogen Corp., Aligning Its Corporate Identity With Its Strategic Focus on Natural Clean Hydrogen(CSE: DMED) (OTCQB: DGNMF) DiagnaMed Holdings Corp. announced its intention, subject to regulatory acceptance, to change its corporate name to GeoHydrogen Corp. to better align with its strategic focus on natural clean hydrogen exploration and development. The Company has assembled a portfolio of highly prospective natural hydrogen projects, including the Temiskaming Natural Hydrogen Project in Ontario, where soil-gas exploration has identified an approximately 11-kilometre corridor of anomalous hydrogen readings, with concentrations exceeding 2,000 ppm, and the newly acquired Colchester East Natural Hydrogen Project in Nova Scotia, comprising 30 exploration licences totalling 2,104 mineral claims within the Cumberland Basin. The Company's common shares are expected, subject to CSE acceptance, to trade on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the proposed ticker symbol "GEOH". The name change does not affect the number of common shares outstanding, and existing share certificates remain valid. The Company reaffirms its ongoing strategic technical advisory partnership with Québec Innovative Materials Corp. (CSE: QIMC) (OTCQB: QIMCF), which will continue to guide exploration across both Ontario and Nova Scotia projects. QIMC applies its proprietary R2G2™ exploration framework, integrating structural geology, soil gas geochemistry, and geophysics to identify naturally occurring hydrogen systems. The Company expects a steady flow of exploration catalysts through the current field season, including infill soil gas results from Temiskaming and the first systematic geochemical dataset from Colchester East. Noble Plains Uranium Commences Confirmation Drill Program at Shirley Central Project(TSXV: NOBL) Noble Plains Uranium Corp. has mobilized a drill rig to its Shirley Central Project in Wyoming's Shirley Basin for a confirmation drill program designed to convert historical drilling data toward a compliant mineral resource estimate. The company acquired a database comprising 1,211 historical gamma-ray logs from uranium exploration conducted between the 1950s and 1970s, which were digitized using a computer vision pipeline and identified 341 qualifying uranium intercepts. The confirmation drill program will consist of seven drill holes to fast-track Shirley Central toward a potential mineral resource. Shirley Central consists of 30 unpatented mineral claims covering 665 acres adjacent to Ur-Energy's Shirley Basin ISR Project, which currently hosts a NI 43-101 compliant Measured & Indicated resource of 8.816 million lb U₃O₈ at 0.23%. The company projects that success in the seven-hole program will allow them to move directly toward an initial mineralization estimate and, ultimately, a NI 43-101 resource. The project is bordered by Uranium Energy Corp. (UEC), placing Noble Plains between two active U.S. uranium developers. Noble Plains Uranium Corp. is advancing a portfolio of high-potential projects amenable to In Situ Recovery (ISR). Grit Metals Identifies New Spodumene-Boulder Targets and Confirms Highly Fractionated Pegmatite System Through Recent Drill Program at Central Finland Lithium Project(TSXV: FIN) Grit Metals Corp. announced results from its ongoing surface exploration and maiden diamond drilling program at its 100%-owned Central Finland Lithium Project. The company discovered new spodumene-bearing boulders in previously untested areas of the Jylhä target, with multiple assays returning >0.5% Li₂O and high-grade samples of 2.0% and 2.4% Li₂O. Maiden drilling intersected multiple geochemically evolved and highly fractionated pegmatite bodies, confirming a fertile Lithium-Cesium-Tantalum ("LCT") pegmatite system within the project area. At Mörkylä, drillhole MK26-007 intersected a 2.90 m alteration interval averaging 250 ppm Li, with elevated caesium, tin, and beryllium values of 46.2 ppm Cs, 27.5 ppm Sn, and 5.9 ppm Be. QAQC results to date do not indicate any analytical accuracy issues, with all standards returning Li values within 3 standard deviations of their certified mean. The company projects further exploration, including a more extensive boulder sampling campaign and follow-up work programs to advance new targets. Grit Metals Corp. is focused on lithium-cesium-tantalum pegmatites in central Finland, with exploration located within 1 km of Keliber's integrated lithium mine and production complex.
